Warren's Pledge and Priorities as Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder

 

I will work hard for you during my tenure as Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder. I will work hard to ensure that our elections our fair, honest and accurate - that everyone votes and that all legally cast votes are counted. I will work hard to make San Mateo County more competitive and I will bring a fresh, innovative attitude to government. Specifically, I plan to accomplish the following goals: simplify elections and fight voter fraud and guarantee integrity of the process address chronic election problems like voter confusion on election day modernize voting equipment, systems, processes and procedures increase participation and knock down barriers guarantee the accuracy of the vote count; strengthen individual voter rights ensure access and equal protection; partner with the League of Women Voters and other groups interested in democracy to increase civic literacy and civic participation place special emphasis on assistance for older voters, infrequent voters and first time voters - and everyone with special needs - promote civic literacy use California's can do attitude in deploying  e.government programs that serve people and bring a 24 X 7 X 365 focus to county government make election materials reflect the changing face of California's population and make them more user friendly  guarantee fair and accurate assessments for all people provide friendly high quality public service in all areas of the office record documents in a timely manner be accountable, accessible and I will serve with integrity and finally, you have my word that as I travel around San Mateo County I will listen to people and be guided by their concerns in all that I do   Thanks for your support!
